the sun embraces the earth
painting coloured marks
allUrInG scents.

The skyline sources
a yellow river Brassica
murmuring a magic song,
seasoned in lavender dress

Some howling wave vomits
a blood red sea of poppies
Bloom in remembrance
of the universal soldier

As a silent witness
Of the lost treasure
